FAQs

The most important information about the DIRS21 Pay & Secure products at a glance

DIRS21 EasyPay: DIRS21 sets up the account and the payment account for you together with the partner bank. This usually takes 6-8 weeks and means no bureaucratic effort for you. You can flexibly determine the time of distribution to your company account. We recommend a direct distribution every 14 days.

DIRS21 Connect: To enable us to integrate your payment service provider into our system via the payment gateway as quickly as possible, please complete our master data sheet and provide us with the connection data in consultation with your existing provider. We will take care of the connection and set-up in the DIRS21 Cockpit.

We guarantee data protection and legally compliant processing of credit card data (PCI & PSD2) so that you can remain carefree.

The tokenisation of credit card data is a security procedure in which the actual credit card data is replaced by a unique identifier, the so-called token. A randomly generated code is therefore used instead of the actual sensitive credit card information. The token is used to track and securely authenticate the transaction. The token is useless for potential attackers as it does not contain any confidential information and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the original credit card data.

From 1 January 2021, the European Payment Services Directive (PSD2) will require strong authentication (SCA) using the 3D Secure procedure for online credit card payments. Without the 3D Secure process, these credit card bookings are no longer legally compliant and banks are then authorised to reject transactions. If hotels wish to continue processing payments by credit card, they will in future need mo-to contracts and/or e-commerce contracts with a payment provider.

Yes, refund transactions are possible from the booking list in the DIRS21 Cockpit. Any amount can be refunded. Automatic refunds are also possible in DIRS21 Payment for cancellations by the guest. If a guest cancels in good time, the money already paid will be refunded without further action - after deduction of the cancellation fee, of course.

Yes. To do this, you need a so-called MOTO contract with your payment service provider. An e-commerce contract is not sufficient for this.

Yes. The processing status of transactions and payment details from IBE & OTA bookings ("received" or "refunded") can be viewed in the Wallet within the DIRS21 Cockpit. If you have entered a staggered payment and/or a mandatory payment before arrival in the terms of payment, these will be noted as "pending".

Yes, this can be set in the guarantee and payment conditions of the corresponding rate.

Yes. By selecting the option "On-site payment" in your guarantee and payment conditions, you can continue to accept cash and card payments from guests at reception at any time. However, on-site payments are not currently recorded in the payment overview in Wallet.
